What is SATTA KING?
"Satta King" is a term associated with Satta Matka, an illegal form of lottery-style gambling that originated in India in the 1950s. The name refers to the person who wins a substantial amount of money from the game.
How Satta Matka is played
Satta Matka, which was originally known as Ankada Jugar (figures gambling), began with betting on the opening and closing rates of cotton that were transmitted from the New York Cotton Exchange to the Bombay Cotton Exchange. After the practice stopped in the 1960s, the gambling evolved into its modern form, which is based on selecting random numbers.
The current game works as follows:
- Selection: Players choose three numbers between 0 and 9.
- Combination: The three chosen numbers are added together. The second digit of this sum is noted down next to the original three numbers.
- Betting: Gamblers place bets on various combinations of these numbers, including single digits, pairs, or the entire four-digit sequence.
- Drawing: Winning numbers are then selected through a random draw.
- Winning: If a player's numbers match the drawn numbers, they win money according to the odds set for their specific bet.
Legality in India
Gambling, including Satta Matka, is illegal in India under the Public Gambling Act of 1867. Some states permit certain lotteries and horse racing, but engaging in games of pure chance like Satta Matka can lead to fines and imprisonment.
Despite being illegal offline, many individuals play Satta Matka online, where the legality remains ambiguous. However, players risk significant financial loss and face legal consequences if caught.
